About Us
About the Refund

What is the ERC and how can it help my Church?

The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) is a payroll tax refund issued by Congress as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

The refund helps businesses, nonprofits, and churches that continued to pay their employees during the pandemic. Think: a stimulus check for your qualifying church, refunding payroll costs your church has already paid.

Your church may qualify if:

1) Your operations were fully or partially suspended by a government order OR
2) You experienced a significant decline in tithes/revenue

Your church may qualify after experiencing lower tithing / revenue:

During the pandemic, many churches faced lower tithing and attendance. If your church's revenue decreased significantly compared to pre-pandemic (2019) levels, the ERC can provide relief of up to $26,000 per qualifying employee.

Common questions
about the refund

You're not alone! Here are the most common questions we receive from churches about the refund.

All Questions

You do not ever have to pay the refund back. This credit comes in the form of a check from the U.S. Treasury which refunds your business for payroll expenses.

Churches that claimed PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) loans may still be eligible! This is a common misconception about the ERC.

While the ERC may sound "too good to be true", it is simply a refund of your employment taxes paid. A church does not have to agree to any government statements, mandates, or laws that may run counter to your church's doctrinal statement. IRS.gov ERC guidance →

Churches can apply and qualify for the refund with zero upfront cost. Our fee is only a percentage of the refund which we successfully get your church. If you don't end up qualifying, there is no cost/fee whatsoever.
